INDIAN GOVERNMENT SCHEMES

JAN DHAN
Pradhan  Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)
·         Launched by the Prime Minister in August 2014 for financial inclusion.
·         More than 21 crore new bank account opened under Jan DhanYojna
·         61% bank accounts opened in rural areas and 52% accounts belong to women
·         Deposits worth Rs 34,672.01 crores have been made as on 8th April, 2016.
JAN SURAKSHA
·         Launched by the Prime Minister on 9th May 2014 in Kolkata
·         Provides natural and accidental death risk coverage of Rs.2 lakhs to any Savings Bank holders of 18-50 years
·         Premium Rs.330/- per year
·         2.96 crore policies are enrolled as on 8th April,2016
·         Nearly 3 crore people have already been enrolled under this scheme
·         Launched by the Prime Minister on 9th May 2014 in Kolkata
·         Covers accidental death risks
·         Provides a cover of Rs.2 lakhs for a premium of just Rs.12 per year.
·         9.40 crore are enrolled as on 8th April, 2016

·         Launched by the Prime Minister on 9th May 2014 in Kolkata
·         Focus on the unorganized sector
·         Government would contribute 50 percent of beneficiaries’ premium (uptoRs. 1000) for 5 years in new accounts opened before December 31, 2015..
MUDRA
Pradhan Mantri MUDRA (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency) Yojana
·         Loans more than Rs.1.11 lakh crore disbursed to over 2.98 crore borrowers by 8th April 2016.
·         Mobile App to be launched soon.
DBT
Pratyaksh Hanstantrit Labh: Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG consumer (DBTL) scheme.      Launched in 54 districts on 15.11.2014
(i)            Direct transfer of subsidy to bank accounts of LPG consumers
(ii)          15.21 crore (91.5%) out of 16.6 crore active consumers joined
(iii)         World’s largest cash transfer program. Rs. 30,165 crore transferred so far
(iv)         ‘Give lt Up’ campaign- 1 crore consumers have given up subsidy
(v)          ‘Give Back’- 55 lakh connections given back to BPL families 
UJJWALA
·         Pradhan Mantri UjjwalaYojana - Scheme for Providing Free LPG connections to Women from BPL Households launched by PM in Baliya, Uttsr Pradesh on 1.5.2016
·         Target is to provide five core LPG connections over the next three years (2016-19).
·         Rs.8000 crores earmarked
·         Will ensure universal cooking gas coverage, empower and protect women’s health, reduce cooking time and create jobs for rural youth in supply chain.
APNA GHAR APNI CHAHAT -PRADHAN MANTRI AWAS YOJNA
 To meet the objective of Housing for All by 2022, after 75 years of independence.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna- Urban
·         PMAY launched by PM on 25 th June 2015
·        Aim is to construct 2 crore affordable houses for the poor in urban areas over the span of seven years span till 2022
·        2508 cities in 26 states identified for providing affordable houses to the urban poor.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna- Gramin
·         Foundation stone laid by the Prime Minister in Naya Raipur on 21 st February,2016.
·         To provide financial assistance for construction of pucca house to all houseless and households living in dilapidated houses.
·         Aim is to construct 1 crore affordable houses for the poor in rural areas over the next three years till 2019.
·         Enhanced unit assistance to Rs. 1,20,000 in plain areas and to Rs. 1,30,000 in hilly states/difficult areas /IAP districts.
·         Expenditure:  Rs.81975 crores
Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission
·         Launched by Prime Minister in Naya Raipur on 21 st February, 2016.
·         Aim is to reduce migration, rural –urban divide and stimulate skill development.
·         300 Rurban clusters to be developed with an investment of Rs 5,100 crore in three years. 100 clusters to be taken up this year.
DDUJY+ GARV
·         Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana launched with an initial allocation of Rs. 500 crores to ensure power supply to the rural poor.
·         All 18452 un-electrified villages to be electrified in 1000 days likely by May 2018.
·         6816 villages electrified so far.
·         GARV:GrameenVidyutikaran Android app – for real-time and transparent tracking of the progress in rural electrification
VILLAGE ROADS-GRAMIN VIKAS YOJANA
·         100 km of roads constructed per day during 2014-15 and 2015-16 against the average of 73.5 km during 2011 to 2014  under Pradhan Mantri Gram SadakYojana,
·         Target of connecting the remaining 65,000 habitations advanced from 2022 to 2019 by constructing 2.23 lakh km of roads.
SWACHCH BHARAT ABHIYAN
·         India’s biggest ever cleanliness drive launched by the Prime Minister on  Gandhi Jayanti, 2nd October 2014 at Rajghat in New Delhi.
·         PM urges everyone to devote 100 hours every year that is two hours every week towards cleanliness.
·         Campaign aimed at the Mission Clean India by 2nd October 2019 to coincide with the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
Swachch Bharat Gramin:
·         176.89 lakh toilets constructed as on 31.03.2016 in villages.
·         Incentive for individual toilet has been increased to Rs. 12,000.
·         8 lakh toilets constructed from 2.10.2014 to 2.10.2015 against expected  60 lakh.
·         Against the yearly target of 50 lakh for individual latrines for the year 2014-15, 58,54,987 latrines were constructed, which is achievement of 117% of the target.
·         45.59 lakh and 49.76 lakh toilets were constructed in 2012-13 and 2013-14 respectively. On the other hand, in the first two years of NDA Government, 58.54 lakh and 97.73 lakh toilets have been constructed in 2014-15 and in 2015-16 (upto 29.2.2015).
Swachch Bharat Urban:
·         13.26 lakh individual household toilets and 68,500 public toilets constructed in urban areas as on 31.03.2016.
·         Communities toilets : 35.216 completed, 1.38 lakh under construction 
Swachch Vidyalay:
·         Priority to build toilets for boys & Girls in all school of the country.
·        4.17 lakh toilets built in 2.61 lakh schools during 15.8.14 -15.8.15
Swachch Bharat Kosh:
·         To improve the cleanliness levels in rural and urban areas, priority to girl toilets in schools.
·         Purpose: Construction of new toilets and repair and renovation of dysfunctional toilets in villages, towns, government schools and aanganwaadis.
·         Fund also used for constructing water lines to the toilets, training and skill development to maintain hygiene in the toilets and other activities to improve sanitation.
·         Rs 365 crore; used for school toilets & renovation of defunct toilets
Food Security
·         Rapid progress in implementation of National Food Security Act, 2013.
·         As on April, 2016, 33 States/UTs are implementing the Act.
·         Major reforms in Public Distribution System (PDS) since June, 2014 by making it more transparent and leak proof.
UJJWALA

STAND UP INDIA
·        Launched by PM on 16th January, 2016
·        To promote entrepreneurship among SC/ST and Women
·        Rs. 500 crore has been allotted in 2016-17 to benefit at least 2.5 lakh entrepreneurs.
BETI BACHAO, BETI PADHAO
·         Launched in 100 critical districts with the lowest child sex ratio on 22nd January, 2015 at Panipat by Prime Minister.
·         Budget: Rs. 100 Cr from WCD Ministry.
·         To change the way in which society values a girl child and aims to prevent gender biased sex selective elimination and ensure education of the girl child.
·        Ministry of HRD has allocated Rs. 5 lakh per district, for instituting district level awards to be given to 5 schools in each district every year.
·         Sex Ratio at Birth improves in 100 target districts across the country; Increasing trend in 49 out of 100 target districts.

SUKANYA SAMRIDDHI KHATA
·         Launched by the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on 21st January 2015; under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Campaign.
·         To meet the expense of the Girl child’s higher education and marriage.
·         Small  affordable deposit earns one of the highest rates of interest.
SIX MONTHS MATERNITY LEAVE
Maternity Benefit Act being amended to enhance maternity leave period for working women from 12 weeks to 26 weeks

INDRADHANUSH
·         Aims to achieve full immunization of at least 90% children by 2020

·         Full immunization cover to missed out and left out children and pregnant women during routine immunization rounds, against 7 life threatening diseases.
·         Vaccination against Japanese Encephalitis provided in select endemic districts

·         162.61 lakh additional children and 42.05 lakh additional pregnant  immunized in 22.94 lakh sessions since April 2015 till now.
FARMER:
PRADHAN MANTRI FASAL BIMA YOJNA

·         To provide insurance at lowest premium rate to farmers with added benefits.
·         Biggest financial support till date by the Central Government in crop insurance 
DOUBLE ALLOCATION
Budget allocation for agriculture and irrigation doubled to Rs 47, 912 crore in 2016-17  compared to Rs 25,998 crore in the previous financial year.
PRADHAN MANTRI KRISHI SINCHAI YOJNA
·         Rs.50 thousand crore to be spent in five years to bring 140 lakh hectares additional area under irrigation.

·         PMKSY to cover 28.5 Lakh hectare area under irrigation.
·         Besides this, during the year 2016-17, a sum of Rs. 12,517 Cr will be incurred on 23 Irrigation schemes of Agriculture Ministry.
SOIL HEALTH CARD & SCHEME
·         scheme launched to reduce fertilizers usage and expenses.
·         Soil Health Cards  to be issued to all farmers over the next two years.
e-NAM
·         National Common Agriculture Market Scheme launched by PM on 14th May 2016
·         e-trading platforms to integrate 585 regulated markets to fetch the best prices for farmers.

DISASTER RELIEF
Relief to farmers in distress.

Farmers eligible for input subsidy  if 33 percent of their crop has been damaged, as opposed to 50 percent or more.

PARAMPARAGAT KRISHI VIKAS YOJANA      
·       Promoting organic farming
·       Organic value chain for North Eastern States a sum of rupees 400 crore
·       Mandatory production of Neem coated urea

KISAN TV
·         A 24x7 dedicated channel to help data to farmers on weather, Kisan Mandi and  other aspects.

JAL KRANTI ABHIYAN
·        Jal Kranti Abhiyan launched throughout India on June 05, 2015 to consolidate water conservation and management in the country through a holistic and integrated approach involving all stakeholders, making it a mass movement.

O R D E R:-

             In the reference 1st read above, the General Administration (Ser.A) Department has requested all the administrative Departments to examine the feasibility of entrusting the task to fill up the direct recruitment posts in respect of Corporations, Public Sector Units, Local bodies etc under their administrative control through the Telangana State Public Service Commission as per the provisions stipulated in Regulation 19(a)&(b) of the Telangana State Public Service Commission Regulations, 2014.


2.        Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby decide to fill up the Direct Recruitment vacancies of all the Teacher posts under the control of the Director of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad, which are now being done through District Selection Committees (DSCs) at the District level, i.e. School Assts., Language Pandits, Secondary Grade Teachers, Physical Education Teachers through the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), Hyderabad, for better uniformity, consistency and proper selection procedures.

3.       Government has also decided to fill up the Direct Recruitment vacancies in the Model Schools under the control of the Director of School Education & Ex-Officio Project Director, RMSA, Telangana, Hyderabad, which are now being done through the State Selection Committee i.e. Principals, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) through the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), Hyderabad.

4.       The Secretary, Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), Hyderabad /the Director of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad/ the Director of School Education & Ex-Officio Project Director, RMSA, Telangana, Hyderabad shall take necessary action accordingly.
